You come home from work (or school), after a long day of breaking rocks, assembling widgets, or sitting through meetings… You’re hungry. Everyone’s hungry. There’s “nothing to eat.” Why not whip out some sloppy joes? They’re pretty quick, tasty, and they make a decent meal. The main ingredients are: ground beef, some tomato product, and some spices. They take less than 30 minutes, and you get a hot meal for not much work. Just make sure you have enough ketchup for the recipe, and for the future! Nothing’s worse than running out of ketchup.

I was thinking that I might post more if my posts are less work. Not that they’re that much work anyway, but taking pictures and doing a big write-up just seems rather formal. So this is the first of a smaller, more informal post. Hopefully these posts will stir up some ideas on what to make, and how easy it can be to cook something good (and probably quick).
For dinner tonight, we made London Broil and mashed potatoes. Never had London Broil? It’s pretty good, and easy to make. According to many many websites (google: london broil), London Broil is not a cut of meat, but the way you cook a flank steak or a round steak. I wouldn’t worry to much about that. A London Broil, or flank steak, or round steak, looks like a large steak. It’s not a real tender cut, but is served in thin slices to make up for that.
